General Delivery Information

We deliver to UK destinations only. At present we do not cover international destinations, including the Channel Islands.

Orders are generally dispatched within 24-48 hours of receipt. Once dispatched, delivery will be made within 2 working days so please allow 4-6 days for delivery for most items. Orders are packaged with great care, to ensure that they reach you in excellent condition.

Important - For furniture orders please allow 10 working days for delivery. For machinery, please allow 7 working days for delivery.

Please note that our standard deliveries are made by UK Mail who deliver on week days only. If you are not in, they will first attempt to leave the delivery with a neighbour, and failing that will put a note through your door with instructions on where to pick up the order from your local post office.

Pre-Order items are not currently available and will be shipped as soon as they come in to stock. Please contanct us for availability information on these products.

Some UK Destinations Require a Surcharge

Certain destinations within the UK are not covered within our standard shipping prices and require a surcharge. These include:

1. The Highlands & Islands of Scotland, postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE.

Surcharge of £7.00 per box.

2. Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly - postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25.

Surcharge of £7.50 per box.

If you are ordering from one of these regions, please place your order as usual via the website. The website will calculate the surcharge automatically.

Delivery Charges

For most items we deliver using standard boxes, with each box costing £5.99. The cost of delivery a box is the same no matter if there are one or many items in it.

We are committed to passing on the best possible value delivery charges to you. To make the most of our fixed box tariffs, we have included advanced delivery information in the shopping basket.

Optimising For Best Delivery Value

To help you get the best possible value for delivery, we have included extra delivery information in the shopping basket. This can be toggled on or off with the  Shipping  link.

The "Current Box" indicator shows how full your box is:

The delivery price for a box is the same whether it is almost empty or almost full, so for an optimal order the indicator would be near 100%. If you go just over, you can quickly see that removing one item may cut your shipping cost in half. An optimal box for best shipping value would look like:

Bulky but light items may carry a higher volume rating than compact heavy ones. Similarly, outsized items are also taken into account in the delivery calculation. The indicator and additional delivery information helps you to see at a glance how much your order will cost to ship, before you check out.
